Terms of Service

PocDocs converts desktop PDF documents into mobile-optimised layouts you can edit in our browser editor and, on eligible plans, export as PDF or PPD. The service uses automated layout analysis and, where enabled, artificial intelligence to structure content. Results may vary depending on source PDF quality, complexity, and document type.

We may update features, limits, and pricing. Material changes to paid plans will be communicated in advance where required by law. Continued use after changes take effect constitutes acceptance of the updated Terms.

You must sign in with a valid Google account (or another method we provide) to convert documents. You are responsible for activity under your account and for keeping your login credentials secure. You must provide accurate information and be at least 16 years old (or the minimum age required in your jurisdiction).

One person or organisation should not share a single login across multiple unrelated users unless your plan explicitly allows it. We may suspend accounts that appear fraudulent, abusive, or in breach of these Terms.

PocDocs offers Free, Pro, and PocDocs Enterprise tiers. Capabilities differ by tier. The table below is the authoritative summary of what each tier includes at the time of your use.

Free tier conversion limits: up to 2 conversions per UTC calendar day, each limited to 10 pages and 2 MB, excluding book-type documents. Free users get 1 export every 24 hours; wallet balance can pay for additional exports before the cooldown ends.

Paid subscriptions: Pro and Enterprise include PDF conversion without per-conversion wallet charges while your subscription is active. Export page allowances reset monthly; usage beyond included pages is charged at the overage rate shown above.

Wallet (pay-as-you-go): Pay-as-you-go wallet credits are used when your free daily allowance is used up, or for documents that exceed free-tier size limits. Most documents are a flat 5p per conversion; e-books from 1p/page; contracts from 3p/page (max 50p). Minimum top-up £5. Minimum wallet top-up is £5. Wallet balance is non-transferable and has no cash value except as credit toward eligible conversions on PocDocs.

Feature gates (export, theme presets, gradients, layout controls, headers & footers, AI message quotas) are enforced in the product. Attempting to bypass plan limits is a breach of these Terms.

Subscriptions and wallet top-ups are processed by Stripe. By paying, you also agree to Stripe's terms. Subscription fees are billed monthly in advance until you cancel. You can cancel via the Stripe customer portal or by contacting us; cancellation takes effect at the end of the current billing period unless stated otherwise.

Wallet top-ups are generally non-refundable once credited, except where required by applicable consumer law (including UK Consumer Rights Act 2015 where it applies). If a conversion fails due to a fault on our side and we cannot complete the service, we will restore wallet credit or re-run the conversion at our discretion.

Prices are shown in GBP unless stated otherwise. You are responsible for any taxes, duties, or bank charges imposed by your payment provider.

You retain ownership of PDFs and documents you upload. You grant us a limited licence to process, store (temporarily where needed), transform, and display your content solely to provide the service, including sending document content to our AI and infrastructure providers as described in the Privacy Policy.

You must have the right to upload and convert any document you submit. Do not upload content you do not own or are not authorised to use. You are solely responsible for the legality of your documents and how you distribute exported files.

Documents may be held in your browser (session or local storage) during editing. We do not guarantee indefinite cloud storage of your projects unless a feature explicitly provides it.

You agree not to:

• Upload malware, illegal content, or material that infringes third-party rights
• Attempt to reverse engineer, scrape, or overload the service
• Circumvent usage limits, authentication, or payment requirements
• Use the service for spam, harassment, or deceptive practices
• Resell or white-label the service without a written agreement with us

We may remove content, throttle usage, or terminate accounts that violate this section or pose risk to the platform or other users.

The in-editor AI assistant helps with layout and copy suggestions. AI output may be inaccurate or incomplete. You must review all AI-generated content before publishing or exporting. AI usage is subject to monthly message limits per tier (see table above). We do not guarantee availability of third-party AI providers.

PocDocs, its branding, software, and documentation are owned by us or our licensors. These Terms do not grant you any rights to our trademarks or source code. Feedback you provide may be used to improve the service without obligation to you.

The service is provided "as is" and "as available". We do not warrant that conversions will be pixel-perfect, error-free, or suitable for every legal or regulatory purpose. You are responsible for verifying exported documents before reliance.

Nothing in these Terms excludes or limits liability that cannot be excluded under UK law, including liability for death or personal injury caused by negligence, or fraud.

To the fullest extent permitted by law, we are not liable for indirect, incidental, special, or consequential damages, or for loss of profits, data, or goodwill. Our total liability for any claim arising from the service in any 12-month period is limited to the greater of (a) the fees you paid us in that period, or (b) £100, except where a higher limit is required by law.

You may stop using the service at any time. We may suspend or terminate access for breach of these Terms, non-payment, or operational reasons. On termination, rights to use paid features end; unused wallet balance may be forfeited except where refund is required by law.

These Terms are governed by the laws of England and Wales. Courts in England and Wales have exclusive jurisdiction, except that consumers resident in Scotland or Northern Ireland may bring claims in their local courts where mandatory consumer protection law allows.
